Certificate levels of completion are exit points of less than full competency and are awarded at the discretion of the instructor.

 

The mission of the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) program is

to provide the opportunity to build the knowledge, skills and attitudes that are essential for

successful entry-level employment in this field through technical instruction and training.

 

The HVAC/R field affords many opportunities to interested, motivated individuals who are willing

to become proficient in the installation and maintenance areas. Additionally, these skills can become the basis for other career enhancement.

 

Encompassing many fields, HVAC/R service persons acquire a working knowledge of chemistry,

physics, mechanics, and public relations. They become proficient in the application of electrical power and its control, which is necessary in becoming and remaining successful in this field.
