Business Systems Technology
The mission of the Business Systems Technology program is to provide technical instruction and training in the field of business with the opportunity to build knowledge, skills, and attitudes that are essential for successful entry-level employment. The Business Systems Technology curriculum develops the knowledge, skills, and attitudes office professionals need to secure good jobs and to succeed in the office of the 21st Century. Our curriculum reflects state-of-the-art office technology and promotes the use of computers and other current business technologies.Students have the opportunity to work and experience extensive “hands-on” training with modern office equipment and computer software. Each phase of the program has been carefully structured so that every student may reach the maximum skill level regardless of whether or not the student has had prior office training or experience.
Depending upon the course of study chosen, courses may include: Business Math & Personal Finance, Keyboarding & Document Processing, Database Applications, Professional Development, Business Communications, Medical Transcription, Accounting, Public Communication and Microsoft Office.
